| Wawanesa has been served by many community groups throughout the last century. Each group has made valuable contributions to community life. Some groups such as the Agricultural Society and the Lions Club work to erect new facilities and hold events for the betterment of the community. Other groups such as the Boy Scouts and 4-H clubs exist to do community work but also to provide a learning experience for the youth of the village. Many of the groups, notably the Red Cross and the Lioness Club, participate in charity work for the needy throughout Canada and the world. | ||||||
