The Contract Security Program offers free French or English webinars to private sector organizations who are bidding or working on government contracts with security requirements. Each webinar is presented live by subject matter experts. You will also have an opportunity to ask questions.

Company security officer training
This free one-day course is essential training for company security officers (CSOs) and alternate company security officers (ACSOs). The courses are offered several times a year, in French and English, across Canada.
What you will learn
You will learn from subject matter experts in a classroom setting. Throughout the day, you will have the opportunity to ask questions and take part in hands-on exercises. Topics include:
Maintaining your organization clearance
This topic provides information about:
- the different types and levels of organization clearances and capabilities
- how to maintain your registration in the Contract Security Program
- how to upgrade your organization clearance
Screening your personnel (protected level)
This topic provides information about:
- how to obtain reliability status for personnel
- the process for new, update, upgrade, reactivation, duplication and transfer requests
- how to complete a personnel security, consent and authorization screening form (TBS/SCT 330-23E) and identify errors
Subcontracting
This topic provides information about:
- how to ensure the security of your subcontracts
- the subcontracting process and the security requirements checklist (SRCL)
- how to complete your own SRCL
Screening your personnel (classified level)
This topic provides information about:
- how to navigate the security clearance process and your responsibilities in requesting Secret, Top Secret and NATO personnel clearances
- the process for supplemental requests
- how to complete a security clearance form (TBS/SCT 330-60E) and identify errors
Safeguarding sensitive information and assets
This topic provides information about:
