Revenues, expenses and accumulated deficit

This section provides information on the revenues, expenses and accumulated deficit of the Government as summarized in Table 3.1.

A narrative description is provided for certain accounts reported in some tables. Such descriptions follow the same presentation order as their respective tables.

Table summary

The table presents, in millions of dollars, a two-year comparative of the revenues, expenses and accumulated deficit. It consists of three columns: a detailed listing of components; current year; previous year. The first series of rows presents the revenues. The second series of rows presents the expenses. It is divided into two sub-sections with their respective subtotals. The final row of the series presents the total expenses. The following row presents the annual (deficit) surplus—result obtained by subtracting expenses from revenues. The final series of rows presents the accumulated deficit at beginning of year minus the other comprehensive loss, namely the accumulated deficit at end of year.
