In anticipation of the upcoming Awards of Excellence nomination and selection process for 1999, please find attached the following documents:
1) a copy of the November 30, 1998 call letter to Deputy Heads and Heads of Agencies requesting nominations for the 1999 Awards of Excellence;
2) the Awards of Excellence guidelines; and
3) the instructions on nomination format.

The deadline for submission of nominations is February 5, 1999. Typically, the Incentive Award Board of ADMs reviews 40-50 nominations. They do so in a very short period of time. To help facilitate what is quite a demanding process, please limit your nomination summaries to 1,000 words.
