A miraculous world of literature and fine arts emanates from
Victoria where Bill Loeppky hosts a camaraderie of talent
unequalled in range of talent and excitement....a top site by
anyone's standards.

From a gallery of lush Wang Chao and Zhang Bu paintings through
the mind-expanding poetry of Jerraldine Hildreth Masten Hansen to
Alistair Macduff's sage revelations on Big Red McLoeppky - it's
all there in glorious color when you click the Inditer thanks to
Bill Loeppky who retired from broadcasting to develop the
Inditer as a hobby-cum-full-time profession. And the amazing
thing is that absolutely no money is involved in this top-rated
site.
Yep. You betcha! It's free.
Last June Bill wrote: "Just a note to tell you I enjoyed your
Father's Day essay in the Times Colonist. I also invite you to
look at my on-line magazine, based in Victoria, BC and aimed at
encouraging young and new writers and artists."
How humble was that first letter. "What's this?" I asked myself.
"Another spammy sales gimmick?"

I couldn't have been more wrong. For Bill Loeppky, who is also a
humorist, musician - he played gigs with many bands across the
west - carpenter and gardener ad infinitum - spreads a fresh
vision, a sparkling world of arts before the public unequalled
anywhere. His warmth bubbles up like mom's blueberry pie, a
treasure of the first order to those who know and love him, which
includes most everyone he touches, certainly those aficionados
whose prime delight originates with The Inditer. Indeed, this is
one site and one man of which Victorians may boast, while
enjoying the experience to the fullest; a faith-building bubble
bath for the mind. A stimulating trip through a galaxy of
imaginings.
"At last count, we have about 135 writers and artists
contributing, some of them on a regular basis. Doug Powers of
Lansing has been doing his column 'The Powers That Be'
for well over a year." Bill told me.
He and his equally talented wife, Juanita, glory in greeting
folks during the daily chores of keeping the Inditer artistically
innovative and live, while struggling with hepatitis C from an
infected blood transfusion. The site also links to a host of
invaluable artistic resources.
"Since I started this ...I have made a lot of wonderful
friends.... A young engineer in Japan visited the Island with his
lady friend ...came over for a cuppa tea. I appreciate those
friends, and nothing gives me more pleasure than to help them in
some small way....I have done dozens of websites for folks all
around the world....or simply to publish their work, hoping
someone will see it and like it. To me, good friends are hard to
come by....they deserve to be cherished. A great guy, featured in
The Inditer who is a recent friend, is Ric Masten....a powerful
poet and funny guy. He's a preacher at Big Sur and does kooky
weddings on the beach. He is also what he calls a 'stand-up-poet'
and has gigs at many universities and for other organizations.
Thirteen books to his credit, he does pencil sketches,
oils....multi talented,... A new feature of his starts tonight in
The Inditer....Words and One-Liners. The one-liners are pencil
sketches....he starts a line, does not lift his pencil from the
paper until the sketch is completed.

"We can lay claim to success in helping several university
students who received course credits for having work published in
The Inditer. We have a number of university and college teachers
on our roster of writers, who in turn tell their students to try
for publication with us. We know we are scanned by publishing
houses looking for new writers and some of our authors have been
contacted by and sold to these publishers."
And for artists busting to publish? Send in your edited stuff for
consideration by Bill and his Editorial Board - themselves
persons of considerable accomplishments in the arts. Criteria: No
smut, no racist or no directly ad hominem attacks. Within the Inditer,
courtesy, good humor, imagination and good taste prevail. Of
course, check the site for guidelines and links. It's a
fascinating trip!
