Front Wings: leathery
Hind Wings: membranous
Mouthparts: sucking
Antenna Length: shorter than body
Antenna Shape: straight

Special Characteristics: Stink bugs have a shield-shaped body. Many are brightly coloured or conspicuously marked. They have a large scutellum that partially covers the front wings. Many species have large scent glands on the side of the thorax.
