Between the croquet grounds and the boat house site was a rose garden, currently being replanted with up to 60 varieties named in O'Reilly journal entries.



Although many of the old cultivars have vanished, a recent renewed interest in antique roses have made many less common varieties available again through British and North American nurseries and catalogues.
