The simple answer to this question is yes. Or at least, yes for as long as there have been humans since technology can be defined as anything not made by nature. Early cavemen with simple tools for hunting were using technology. The first clothes made out of materials found in the natural environment were also forms of technology. Of course, it is not only humans that can use technology. Apes using sticks to dig for food are also using technology.
To a modern person, simple tools and clothes may not seem like technology. This is because when we think of technology, we usually think of machines. Machines became a huge part of everyday life during the Industrial Revolution in Britain, which began in the late 1700's. At this time, machines began to replace tools; new energy sources, like steam, began to replace human or animal power; and tasks that had once been done at home, like spinning yarn, began to be done in factories.
Nowadays, when we think of technology, we often think of complex machines like computers or the space shuttle. But technology has always been around us, even before machines existed.
