This fifth book in the series relating to the War of 1812 is a fast-paced story of the Battle of Lake Erie, September 10,1813. The Battle of Lake Erie covers the difficulties the American naval fleet (commanded by Oliver Hazard Perry) and the British fleet (commanded by Robert Heriot Barclay) had in obtaining supplies to build and weapons to equip the boats. It also describes the problems both the British and Americans had in trying to get the sailors they needed. The contributions of Tecumseh and the native peoples is included. The detailed report of the actual battle provides a realistic and unromantic view of war.
