As a child, Pierre Sioui was educated by the Jesuits. Now a painter, graphic, and mixed-media artist, he studied briefly in the mid-1980s under Michel Leclair at the Centre de Conception Graphique GRAFF in Montréal. His work in serigraphy often assembles diverse found images in its exploration of visual and spatial perception in the context of contemporary society. In 1985, he received a bursary from the Québec Cultural Affairs Ministry.
