You decide to move down the river to Gananoque to offload your troops and artillery and march overland to lay siege to Fort Henry.
An excellent decision. The winds around the fort are not favourable to any kind of amphibious assault as they are consistently onshore and would smash the ships on the rocks if they came in too close.
