History

This park was named for its spacious location in the Riverdale East neighbourhood. Sports fields were constructed towards the end of the 1970's, and the bocce courts were installed in 1989. Most of the land was still owned by the Hamilton-Wentworth Separate School Board up until October of 1995, however it has been used as public green space since the development of the neighbourhood. Riverdale Park East is certainly a fine addition to the Riverdale neighbourhood, giving children a splendid place to frolic and have oodles of fun.
