Gallons Point Battery, in 1972, was a depression in the south side hills of Placentia Harbour. This site would have, at one time, provided a commanding view of entrance to Placentia Harbour. The site was destroyed shortly after the survey was completed when the town of Placentia moved it's town dump to the site.
