The dip net was used for catching caplin for use as bait. In the center row (left to right) are
two hand gaffs for hoisting heavy fish into a boat; an empty line reel; and below it, two sticks
for gauging the size of net meshes; a jigger attached to a reel, used when there was no bait;
and a handline with a lead weight and two hooks used a bait.
