George Oppen. Discrete Series. [Toronto: Mother/Island Press, 1966].

Permission to reprint Oppen's first book was obtained by Pittsburgh native Ron Caplan, whom Coleman had met in Detroit. Caplan also produced a small text of Louis Zukofsky’s in an attempt to restore the flagging reputations of the Objectivist poets.

Designed and printed by Victor Coleman in an edition of 50 copies in April 1967 at The Coach House Press. Set in 10 pt Helvetica.

Although he lived in Toronto a short time, Caplan moved to the East Coast where he founded and edited Cape Breton’s Magazine, which continues to publish to date.
