Creating a Children's Book

Student Worksheet 2: Story Map

When you have finished a story web, the next step is to story map. Map a story that will not be longer than ten pages (including pictures), with about 60 words per page or less.

Describe your main character and other characters, including appearance, habits, interests, etc.









Setting:

Describe the time, place and conditions that make up the setting.

This is the problem that starts the story.

This is how the main character deals with the first problem.







Middle:

This is where the second problem happens, and any more problems that come up. Explain how the characters deal with these later problems.































End:

Here all the problems are solved. How will your story end?
