Student Worksheet 3: Writing the Story

First of all, you must be sure that you have finished your planning from the first lesson. When you have done that, carry on with the work below.

Use your story map as a guide:

Begin writing the story. Remember that when you are finished, your story should not be longer than seven or eight pages, including illustrations.

  • Important Note: This does not mean seven or eight full pages. It could mean one paragraph per page, or even just one sentence per page.

Remember to:

  • Double-space your writing.
  • Make a double line to show where each new page will start in the finished book. Keep each page to not more than 60 words.
