The image is a horizontal stacked bar graph that shows how informed the 1,013 survey respondents feel they are about the mandate and role of the CRTC of ensuring Canadians’ safety and protection in the communication system. The graph shows results overall and for a variety of demographic groups based on region, age, gender, education level and survey language. Specifically, respondents were asked question 1 of the questionnaire which is: "Would you say that you feel you are very well informed, well informed, not very well informed or not informed about the mandate and role of the CRTC of ensuring Canadians’ safety and protection in the communication system?" Overall, 9% say they are very well informed, 35% are well informed, 41% are not very well informed, 13% said they are not informed and 2% said they don't know. It is a total of 44% for the top 2 boxes. In Atlantic Canada, 7% say they are very well informed, 39% are well informed, 37% are not very well informed, 16% said they are not informed and 1% said they don't know. It is a total of 46% for the top 2 boxes. In Quebec, 9% say they are very well informed, 34% are well informed, 45% are not very well informed, 11% said they are not informed and 1% said they don't know. It is a total of 43% for the top 2 boxes. In Ontario, 10% say they are very well informed, 39% are well informed, 37% are not very well informed, 12% said they are not informed and 2% said they don't know. It is a total of 49% for the top 2 boxes. In the Prairies, 6% say they are very well informed, 32% are well informed, 47% are not very well informed, 13% said they are not informed and 2% said they don't know. It is a total of 38% for the top 2 boxes. In BC, 12% say they are very well informed, 29% are well informed, 42% are not very well informed and 17% said they are not informed. It is a total of 40% for the top 2 boxes. Among those 18-34, 4% say they are very well informed, 28% are well informed, 42% are not very well informed, 25% said they are not informed, which is significantly different, and 1% said they don't know. It is a total of 32% for the top 2 boxes, which is significantly different. Among those 35-54, 12% say they are very well informed, which is significantly different, 37% are well informed, 41% are not very well informed, 9% said they are not informed and 1% said they don't know. It is a total of 49% for the top 2 boxes. Among those 55+, 9% say they are very well informed and 39% are well informed. Both of these results are significantly different. It is a total of 48% for these top 2 boxes. 42% of those 55+ are not very well informed, 7% said they are not informed and 3% said they don't know. Among men, 9% say they are very well informed, 38% are well informed, 37% are not very well informed, 13% said they are not informed and 2% said they don't know. It is a total of 48% for these top 2 boxes, which is significantly different. Among women, 9% say they are very well informed, 32% are well informed, 45% are not very well informed, which is significantly different, and 14% said they are not informed. It is a total of 41% for the top 2 boxes. Among those who are current students, 3% say they are very well informed, 26% are well informed, 47% are not very well informed and 24% said they are not informed, which is significantly different. It is a total of 29% for the top 2 boxes. Among those who have high school or less, 8% say they are very well informed, which is significantly different, 33% are well informed, 44% are not very well informed, 12% said they are not informed and 3% said they don't know. It is a total of 41% for the top 2 boxes. Among those who have a college education, 10% say they are very well informed, which is significantly different, 31% are well informed, 45% are not very well informed, 13% said they are not informed and 1% said they don't know. It is a total of 42% for the top 2 boxes. Among those who have a university education, 9% say they are very well informed and 41% are well informed. Both of these results are significantly different. Similarly, the total of 51% for these top 2 boxes is significantly different. 37% of those with a university education said they are not very well informed, 11% said they are not informed and 1% said they don't know. Among those who speak English, 9% say they are very well informed, 35% are well informed, 41% are not very well informed, 14% said they are not informed and 2% said they don't know. It is a total of 43% for the top 2 boxes. Finally, among those who speak French, 10% say they are very well informed, 37% are well informed, 43% are not very well informed and 10% said they are not informed. It is a total of 47% for the top 2 boxes.
