Amount of Time Considered Reasonable for Decision
The above bar graph shows the amount of time clients had to wait to receive a decision about their benefits, and the percentage that considered this amount of time to be reasonable. The results are as follows:
- 46 percent waited two weeks or less to receive a decision on their benefits and 86 percent considered this to be reasonable.
- 31 percent waited three to four weeks and 58 percent considered this to be reasonable.
- 17 percent waited five weeks or more and 18 percent considered this to be reasonable.
- 2 percent stated that they did not hear back.
- Overall 66 percent of respondents thought that the amount of time they waited to be informed about whether they would receive benefits was reasonable.
