Tip of the Week:
On the eve of the Sun entering Gemini on May 20 this
year, Venus, Neptune and the Asteroid Goddess, Juno all
turn retrograde on May 17. In a simple yet deep sense,
Venus is about the beauty of spirit pouring into and activating
form. When she is Retrograde, this process is reversed
and form becomes the means to activate spirit. The result
is more reactive than pro-active, as when she is in Direct
as opposed to Retrograde motion. The result is that people
tend to take things more personally and this can be a
deterrent to harmony. This increase in sensitivity leads
to internalizing feelings, hurts and emotions. Neptune
is the planet of transcendence and symbolizes the call
of the soul beyond all material considerations and the
dissolving of matter. When Neptune is Retrograde it actually
triggers the urge for transcendence. When any of the far
planets are Retrograde they activate the soul into consciousness.
Thus, Neptune Retrograde causes us to be in the world
but not to be of it. This is confusing to people and it
challenges common sense thinking; consciousness tunes
into the cosmic. As an example, people feel spiritual
yet are not necessarily religious. Juno symbolizes the
ideals of one's spouse, life partner or mate, especially
in the sense of marriage. Juno symbolizes the principle
of relatedness and represents our capacity for meaningful
relationship and the degree of awareness and sensitivity
we bring to relationship. When Juno is retrograde, the
principle or relatedness turns inward. At best, this activates
a deepening of relationship with oneself. Negatively,
Juno retrograde decreases the quality of meaningful relationship,
as awareness and sensitivity are turned inward. The key
in handling these themes is, as ever, awareness. Astrology
is a powerful tool that provides deep and precise awareness.
(Mar 21 - Apr 20)
Whether you are clearly conscious of it or not you are
renovating and rebuilding foundations in your life. This
may be literal and physical and/or it may be psychological,
emotional and/or spiritual. If you are not working physically
then the more abstract processes are underway and this
may be the source of confusion, anxiety, frustration and
mood swings. These processes directly include the cultivation
of a personal and integral value system. This includes
honesty in your actions and in your dealings with people.
Accepting and trusting all changes that are occurring
at this time will help. Awaken to the subtle processes
of your evolution!
Taurus (Apr 21- May 20)
You are increasingly aware that you cannot be all things
to all people, though you may want to be. In certain respects,
you want it all commitment and variety. Others may see
you as fickle these days. You do feel ambitious, energetic
and determined, yet frustrated in as much as you do not
know what you really want or what is for your highest
good and that of others close to you. Keep asking within,
journal and/or seek counseling. This is just the beginning
of a deeper soul searching journey that could last a couple
of years! Do you feel afraid to communicate your feelings
and/or express yourself? The roots of this complex probably
stem from childhood. Intend to clarify and express your
thoughts, feelings and inspirations fully!
Gemini (May 21 - Jun 20)
Sounding the depths of your soul continues, at least in
the background of your mind. Certain things have changed
in your life over the past year or two and whole chapters
are complete. There is no going back and you must build
upon new foundations of security. Patient determination
combined with the intention of releasing the past and
purifications of one kind or another will prove successful.
With the Sun soon to enter your own sign, you will feel
more energized and ambitious again. However, with Mercury
in Taurus, you may have some difficulty thinking clearly
or knowing your own thoughts, especially when is large
groups. At best, your psychic sensitivities will be strong.
Tune in to them to gauge what you truly need to feel secure.
Cancer (Jun 21 - Jul 21)
In one way or another you are gaining more authority and
or responsibility in your life. This could be on the job,
through involvements with clubs or other groups and/or
with your family. As chapters end and new one's begin,
you are challenged to exercise leadership and empathetic
exchange. Be careful not take on to much or to scatter
your energies over the next six months or so! Now is a
good time to organizer your affairs and advertise your
goods and/or services. Meeting new people and making new
business contacts is also a good idea now. Do behind the
scenes work for the next month or so. This might prove
to be the best approach overall. This way you can take
needed downtime and still make progress!
Leo (Jul 22 - Aug 21)
You are learning to bring more responsibility, reliability
and practicality to your public and professional roles.
Where and how would you say that you have been less than
effective due to denial, confusion and/or unhealthy habits?
The more you can answer with honesty and clarity the better.
Honesty will bring you rewards; denial will perpetuate
suffering. Besides, the more you can polish your approach
the better; both you and your clients or associates will
be more satisfied. Acquiring new equipment, supplies or
simply new clothing for your profession or stuff for the
home is likely over the next few months. You do not need
to be told to spend wisely, because you will be aiming
for two-for-one deals or big rebates, or there will be
no deal at all and you will shop elsewhere! This is a
call to rise to higher ground! Virgo (Aug 22 - Sep 23)
Shifts and changes in your life are leading you to reconsider
your priorities and commitments. We change and so too
do our values, beliefs and desires. These are aspects
of healthy evolution, though usually hard on the emotions
and perhaps on the ego. You want to be respected for who
you are and what you do. You are willing to give to situations,
yet you also want change and will push for it over the
next few weeks. Prepare to assert your truth and/or accept
that of others. With Uranus, the planet of sudden surprises
in your relationship zone, expect the unexpected. The
old you and the lifestyle that went with it is changing
now, so do your best to keep pace. Besides, you may be
surprised at how much you enjoy a fuller scope of freedom.

Libra (Sep 23 - Oct 21)
Clearing the old to make way for the new continues. One
final big push or two may yet be needed before you can
feel satisfied. You are determined - virtually militant
- to follow through. Securing a more stable place in the
world is a part of the deal. Changes in your overall lifestyle
are part of the plot. Research and investigations to further
your position are likely. Financial considerations will
lead you to do the research, update your accounting and/or
visit bankers and financial advisors. If you play the
game with enough attention, you may succeed in realizing
a much more stable financial platform. In any case, be
willing to learn new approaches, face fears and take big
action!
Scorpio (Oct 22 - Nov 20)
Creating more harmony on relationship fronts continues.
Beauty, pleasure and luxury remain on the forefront of
your mind. You may need a plan backed by a vision to feel
inspired and to proceed confidently. This is a good time
to push for what you want. However, avoid pushing others
against their will. Rather, communicate to negotiate for
a better deal. In fact, the more you can cooperate with
reliable people now the better. This time in your life
asks that you expand your position with the help of others
with whom you feel confident and secure. This is a good
time to share your ideas and wisdom with the world. You
might even get published and influence or entertain the
masses.
Sagittarius (Nov 21 - Dec 20)
Making efforts to break with the past and to bring your
dreams and ideals into reality continues. This implies
the will to change. Recognize that the person you think
you are is very much a byproduct of your conditioning.
We can recondition our mind, but it takes awareness, determination
and perseverance. Since this is happening anyway, do what
you can to consciously engage. Sober, calculated risks
are the way to go for the near future. Be willing to let
go of fixed self-concepts and habitual modes of perception.
Besides, circumstances are pushing you and, believe it
or not, they are not as arbitrary as they may seem. Trust
the destiny is at play in the process. As you trust you
will yield and flow with what is!
Capricorn (Dec 21 - Jan 19)
Tending to your investments and/or making new ones is
now in focus. You feel increasingly committed to exploring
new territory. Relationship encounters are featured. Ideally,
you are willing to learn new skills and/or gain guidance
from others now. The scope of your perceptions is changing
and you are increasingly eager to merge your resources
with those of others. This may imply new love interests
as well as business deals. However, you do well to look
carefully before you make big commitments. That is probably
your usual style anyway. Generally, try to avoid long
term contracts for the next few months or so. Big money
or the lack of it may be an issue for a while. You whole
mode of perception is changing and it may take some time
before you learn to see clearly with your new eyes!
Aquarius (Jan 20 - Feb 19)
Securing your footings and tending to your foundation
continues. This includes long-term planning. From planning
your garden to launching new business angles, you are
preparing for more action. Things will pick-up this week
so get ready. Some changes may need to take place before
you proceed, however. Fortunately, you will feel more
energy and determination to pursue your ambitions. However,
as with most everyone these days, you will have to manage
your mood swings. These may simply manifest as feeling
energized and enthusiastic at one moment to feeling sleepy
the next. As the Chinese proverb says, "Walk like
a pigeon, sit like a turtle, sleep like a dog". All
the while, present an image you are proud of; yet be alert
to the trappings of pride. Smile and laugh too and others
will too!
Pisces (Feb 20 - Mar 20)
Taking inventory of your skills, assets, debts and liabilities
continues. You want to be free and clear on a variety
of fronts. You are willing to play the game, yet you need
to be patient with your progress. Gaining the full confidence
of others will take more effort. Continue to brainstorm
for practical ideas, yet tend to unfinished business as
well. With focus and follow through, you stand a good
chance of increasing your overall income over the next
several months. The increase may not be as much as you
would like, but measurable all the same. Do your homework
now and you will be able to play with clear conscience
as summer arrives. You may need extra freedom to succeed
so communicate your needs with sensitivity and fortify
your boundaries.
