Memories
"Oh, she's happily married, living in the suburbs of
Ottawa.
A split level development, this, Gulag of the mind.
Two kids and two stillborn, Vidya and t.s. elliot
Buried in dusty basement boxes of her dreams.
The black knight of the soul, conrad, brings her paper
Ecologically, politically incorrect, electric car,
A trade for the mountain bike of her mind.
He writes software for accounting.
She files it under ass's He knows it stands for
assessments.
This is E=MC squared. Her energy frozen into matter.
His ritual two drinks and a hand on her breast.
Her ritual two drinks bring the shrill edge of hysteria to
her voice.
Memories, her fluttering hand, to Julies' naked breast.
Honor thy father. Hallowed be his family name.
We all know it's better to sell your SELF in Kanata
than be a Gay poet on Saltspring."
