The Poetry of Richard Stevenson

in the elms' shadows

more than one murder of crows

one yellow leaf

*

fresh mown grass --

a circle of seagulls

make a carousel

*

nestled in the rocks

a fishing lure or beer can --

I can't decide which

*

beached between boulders

a dead crow and two slurpees

no turtle today

*

blue mayfly rests on

the commemorative plaque --

bequeaths itself

*

slight drizzle --

robin's wings whistle over

car tire sibilance

*

El Dorado R --

V hidden on account of

the power pole
