Of All the Things
by Jack Galmitz Of All The Things is a book for those who have come to realize that the journey, its landscapes, and the forms that populate it are none other than the passengers themselves. The tangible, the tasted, the smelled, the perceived, the heard, the conceived are suddenly understood to be the intimacy of the mind experiencing itself. The poems in this volume are of the same nature as meditation: like the Tibetan Buddhist practice of tonglen, where the objective of the meditator is to put thoughts of self aside and offer all that is beneficial to all sentient beings. Of All The Things is an open passage for everyone. The book welcomes you to step aboard and take the journey of your life. Jack Galmitz is the author of four books of haiku: The Effects of Light (published by AHA Online Books); Sky Theatre (published by Ink: Literary E-Zine); and A Simple Circle & Rockdove (published by Traveling Forms: Japanese/English Haiku). |
