Patricia Carroll enjoys a renewed artistic life in Nanoose Bay.

Her career began many years ago with courses from the Ontario

College of Art, weaving instruction from Robert Cawood (the

Village Weaver) in Toronto, and many photography excursions.

Over time  she honed these skills through painting “doodles”,

weaving tapestry, and taking pictures while travelling;  all of which could be accomplished in some small measure while developing a successful and rewarding career in teaching.

For the past few years she has focused entirely on her art.  She  belongs  to  the De Cosmos Fine Arts group and the Oceanside  Arts Council where she enjoys artistic camaraderie, and opportunities to paint and show her work.

She has recently returned from an excursion to France

where she first stayed with Ilse Hughes and then painted

in Collioure, gaining much inspiration.

She has taken workshops with Wendy Robson, Don

Farrell, Betsy Dillard-Stroud, and Vickie Turner, all of

whom have enhanced and revitalized her approach to

expressing her view of the world around her - the beauty,

the integration of all life, and the complex, exciting and

mysterious interplay of light, dark, colour and shape, The Mask, the front cover of Ascent Aspirations Magazine Premier Print Issue

clearly evident in every glimpse of our world.

She shares her unique look at this world through

her paintings, weavings, and photography.

                                 Enjoy!
