Roger Kemble was born July 4, 1929. Kingston-upon-Hull, Yorkshire, United Kingdom. He has been a resident of British Columbia since May 1951, a resident of Mexico City D. F. May 1997 – 8, a resident Nanaimo B.C. since September 1998 -. He was a member of the Architectural Institute of British Columbia. 1959 – 2005, a Principal Architect/Planner 1960 - 2005, and has been an Academician of the Royal Canadian Academy of the Arts. 1970 –

AWARDS

NHDC Regional design of merit 1964, NHDC National design award 1964, Massey Silver Medal 1967, DPW architectural design award 1968, Innovative housing citation of merit 1978, Innovative housing merit award 1979, Canadian Architect Yearbook award 1980, Mellon scholarship 1986, CHMC fellowship 1987.

SHOWS

Roger Kemble has had numerous shows in Vancouver, Toronto and Nanaimo. He has been painting consistently since 1940.

ACADEMIC

Roger has been a lecturer at UBC School of Architecture 1962 – 1980., and a Lecturer Esquela posgrado, Collegio de arquitectura, Universidad Nacional Autonomus de Mexico. 1997-8.
