Subsequent Motions: A Letter as Poetry For Wendy Moses

Dear Wendy,

I was asking myself why I hugged twice the young woman with her hair in randy Bambi bumps, eyes like meteor strikes brimming with dew and a mouth that could derail a nuclear chain reaction just by pouting and I had to admit that I wanted to seduce you then lie between your legs listening for that tiny chime of your navel sweat to ring "conception".
But how nice for you to be so young and talented, so bright and lovely and not carrying the child of a man too many years your senior to be writing these words as anything but a confession!
Besides, I look old in the mornings.
So thank you for the song, the hug and the gift of your keeping that hideously green and yellow genetically engineered facsimile of a flower that I pulled from a gay man's bouquet by being both aggressive and flirtatious (hustler that I am).
Please don't do drugs, please listen to your parents and learn to love the impoverished souls that come to God's Soup Kitchen For The Soul with their Braille Bible Bowls Brimming with a Poignant Air of Piety (where the eagles are gathered, there the Corpse will be.).
Please join the choir at a church of your choosing. You owe me that much.
May your sorrow be to good purpose,
your joy without cause and God’s love be from you,

Alacrity
