Are we just marking time with this?
Is this stack and pile of no essential use?
Lacking the quality of transformation
(‘Not what we meant at all’)
As we remain lost and hollow
And could except for class and chatter
Easily live without these chants and toys?
Does this all gentle us? Refine our love
Provide true consolation
Strength and hope
Warm our coldest days with love and hope?
What Madonna will we see in the hospice
What sonata will we sing out of our grave?
Has my life failed because the Poetry of the Akkadians has been lost?
