Questions For A Conservative Politician
The politician
stands slick
in his loose-hung
ball-room business
suit, suiting himself
in self-righteous
arrogance.
We elected him with
his self-serving smile
disquised behind
that camera-oriented mask,
while all along
he sleeps in the pockets
of blue-suited businessmen
who know what's right for us.
Goals are set,
strategies implemented,
battle lines drawn;
it's total war,
there are "acceptable"
civilian casualties,
the human costs
balanced against eradicating
certain inefficiencies.
Mr. conservative politician,
our premier star who
knows what's good
for his little children,
you're not dealing
with a finite piece
of machinery - improvements
with human losses
are unacceptable.
Ignore this common
sense wisdom at your
peril, my little man.
