Patricia Carroll Visual Artist Official Site Patricia Carroll enjoys a renewed artistic life
in Nanoose Bay. Her career began many years ago with courses from the Ontario College of Art, weaving instruction from Robert Cawood (the
Village Weaver) in Toronto, and many photography excursions. Over time she honed these skills through painting “doodles”,
weaving tapestry, and taking pictures while travelling;
all of which could be accomplished in some small measure while developing a
successful and rewarding career in teaching.
For the past few years she has focused entirely on her art. She belongs to the De Cosmos Fine Arts group,
the Oceanside Arts Council, and the Arrowsmith Artists’ Group where she enjoys artistic camaraderie,
and opportunities to paint and show her work. She enjoyed an excursion to France where she stayed
and worked with Ilse Hughes and then painted in
Collioure, gaining much inspiration. She has taken workshops with Wendy Robson,
Don Farrell, Betsy Dillard-Stroud, Vickie Turner,
Utta Kaiser, Archie Brennan, Jean Pederson, and
Gerald Brommer, all of whom have enhanced and
revitalized her approach to expressing her view of the
world around her - the beauty, the integration of all life,
and the complex, exciting and mysterious interplay of
light, dark, colour and shape, clearly evident in
every glimpse of our world. She shares her unique look at this world through
her paintings, weavings, and photography. Enjoy! Pat's Current Exhibit Locally you can view Pat Carroll's work in Coombs at The Winery , The Oceanside Arts Council in Parksville and in Bowser at
