Dee Rimbaud
Dee Rimbaud was born in 1962, in Glasgow, Scotland. Both his parents were artists. He started writing poetry in his teens and won the Lochaber High School poetry competition in 1979. He edited Dada Dance magazine from 1984-1989 and Acid Angel magazine from 1998-2000; and is currently editor of AA Independent Press Guide and 'The Book Of Hopes And Dreams'.
He studied to post-graduate level at Edinburgh College of Art from 1986-1991, specialising in Sculpture. Whilst at art school he won an Andrew Grant travelling scholarship to India: a John Kinross Scholarship to Florence, Italy; and participated in an exchange programme, studying for three months at L'Ecole Des Beaux Arts, Le Havre in France.
Since graduating he has worked in community arts, arts development, film & television, and as a freelance illustrator and graphic designer.
His art has been used on book covers for Arrowhead Press, Black Cat Press, Bluechrome Publishing, Chestnut Hill Press, Chrysalis Poetry, Dogeater, Elastic Press, Foursep Press, Headlock Publications, iUniverse, Poet Works Press, Stride Publications and Trombone Press.
His poetry, short stories and artwork have been published in numerous magazines and anthologies worldwide.
In the UK his work has appeared in over 100 magazines and journals, including Acumen, Aireings, Ambit, Black Mountain Review, Cutting Teeth, Dream Catcher, The Erotic Review, Global Tapestry, Headpress, The Interpreter's House, Kindred Spirits, Liar Republic, Magma, New Writing Scotland, Nomad, Northwords, Other Poetry, Orbis, Oxford Quarterly Review, Reater, Scotland On Sunday, Spume, Tandem, Tears In The Fence, Understanding, Urthona.
