Albany Poets
Albany Poets is a local not-for-profit organization whose goal is to promote the poets and poetry of Upstate New York. Albany Poets hosts open mics, poetry readings, slams, music and spoken word events, and the annual Albany Word Fest to increase participation and attendance in the local arts community.

Arizona State Poetry Society

The Canadian Authors Association (CAA) is Canada's national writing organization. Founded in 1921, the CAA has played a key role in the support and development of the Canadian writing community. It has charitable status as a registered National Arts Service Organization.

Horror Writers Association
THE HORROR WRITERS ASSOCIATION (HWA) is a nonprofit organization of writers and publishing professionals around the world, dedicated to promoting dark literature and the interests of those who write it.

International Arts Resource
Artslynx is designed as a portal to the best information on the arts available on the web. It's curated link libraries and extensive original material (especially in the areas of theatre and dance) are specifically optimized for researchers, scholars, educators, students, and professionals working in the arts.

International Writers' Markets
The Worldwide Freelance Writer web site and newsletter are owned by Altavado Limited and headquartered in Hong Kong. The newsletter was launched in 1999 to provide information on freelance writing markets around the world. At that time there were several other great writing sites devoted to North American markets but very little information was available on markets in other countries.

Journalism.co.uk and dotJournalism are published by Mousetrap Media Ltd, an online publishing company specialising in building news-oriented and community-based web sites.

JournalismJobs.com was founded in August 1998 by Dan Rohn, a former copy editor and writer with The Washington Post, editor with America Online, and Washington, D.C.-based stringer for Money Magazine. JournalismJobs.com is the largest and most-visited resource for journalism jobs, and receives between 2.5 to 3 million page views a month.

League of Canadian Poets
The League of Canadian Poets, a non-profit arts service organization, is the national association of professional publishing and performing poets in Canada. Its purpose is to enhance the status of poets and nurture a professional poetic community to facilitate the teaching of Canadian poetry at all levels of education and to develop the audience for poetry by encouraging publication, performance and recognition of Canadian poetry nationally and internationally.

Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America
Science Fiction Writers of America was founded in 1965 by Damon Knight, who also served as its first president. In 1992, the membership voted to officially change the name to the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America, Inc. (SFWA).

Western Writers of America
Western Writers of America, Inc., was founded in 1953 to promote the literature of the American West and bestow Spur Awards for distinguished writing in the western field. The founders were largely authors who wrote traditional western fiction, but the organization swiftly expanded to include historians and other nonfiction authors, young adult and romance writers, and writers interested in regional history.

Writers Forum
The Writers Forum, a nonprofit organization founded in 1983, is dedicated to promoting writing as an art and as a profession and to supporting and inspiring local writers. Meetings and events are held in Redding, Shasta County, Northern California.
