Maniki Raziya Slaughter is currently a junior working on her B.M. in Flute Performance at Converse College (S.C.) She first started writing and critiquing in her high school's nationally recognized literary magazine when she was 16. She didn't take her writing seriously until last year when she received two honors and the publication of several of her poems. Besides writing, she enjoys all aspects of the performing arts and languages.
