to graze is better then to love

oh love -- what a sterile game you play
like a mischievous vermin left to flounder in the wind
sucking morsels of flesh from me like a leper in sheep’s clothing

sweet love -- you tear into me
like a saw cutter
and melt away like a fuzzy peach in the sun

systemic gadget love -- you hyper analyze me
and fuse each circuit together like a frozen digital image
capturing perfect pixel quality into a synapse moment

shunned love – ‘you’ a running man archetype
with a flame thrower and electric ray-gun
sent in to kill me under the eye of millions watching

love subjected and tailored –  a beggar in a tamed oasis
grovel at my feet and make me rich
pan handle my hat and throw me a quarter!

love smothered in hemp oil and roses – you dismiss me
turn burlap coats to cover me in shame
and send online messengers after me.

love shy and slapped – make me believe in your vastness
let me pine for you like a crack whore searching for her last rock
like a hooker waiting for an empty fuck

oh love ! –
sweet love
shunned love
subjected and tailored
systemic gadget love
smothered in hemp oil and roses
shy and slapped
oh love ! –

graze on me
like the last cattle prod
and make things simple again.

Shamek Pietucha made up his name in grade 2 because no one could say the original polish(przemyslaw)correctly. He moved to Canada in 1982 and tried to make life as interesting as possible. He has been to the olympics and has been to medical school. Currently he is traveling to Bali for the last tranquil moment that he needs before starting on the next sojourn of this life in the big city of Toronto.

He loves to swim, dance, paint light bulbs and imagine. He has been practicing the written word for nearly 15 years now and it makes him rich. One night he had a dream that he was a samurai warrior. For him that is what it is all about – making living simple again – "Let me kick ass, jump, kick and glide on trees – peacefully."
