the computers remind us with pompous persistence that the Greeks believed logic made humans human. "what separates us now?" taunt devices with names, with memory, mobility, the potential for social interconnectedness but no understanding, like us.

Andrew Sullivan is a professional engineer and recreational poet who has lived in upstate New York for most of his life. He started writing poetry in college to take his mind off of math and physics, and he has continued to write ever since. For the past few years, He has been attending readings and open mics in Saratoga and Albany, and he will have two poems featured in the upcoming edition of Up The River.
