The Department of Classics, UNIVERSITY OF TORONTO, invites applications for

a 12-month contractually limited term appointment at the Assistant

Professor level, July 1, 1995 to June 30, 1996, with possibility of renewal

for one further year. Applicants must have completed Ph.D. at time of

application and be prepared to teach a variety of undergraduate courses in

classical languages and civilization. Minimum salary will be $38,200. 



Application should include curriculum vitae and letters from three referees

and be sent by March 31, 1995, to Professor E. Robbins, Chair, Department

of Classics, University of Toronto, 16 Hart House Circle, Toronto M5S 1A1.
