Applicants should possess the Ph.D. with specialization in Latin Language & Literature or Roman Studies. The individual hired will be expected to teach courses in Latin (beginning and advanced), large enrolment courses in Greek mythology, an advanced course in the history of the late Roman empire, and possibly, Vergil in translation. It is possible that there will be further part-time appointments of instructors in Latin, Greek and Roman civilization, Greek history, Greek historiography, Greek and Roman epic in translation and Roman archaeology. All applicants for the 9-month appointment will be automatically considered for the part-time appointments.
