Proposals for papers by individuals or groups, and for panel discussions,

are invited. The theme of this year's meeting is LANDSCAPE AND TEXT:

READING THE CLASSICAL WORLD. Papers on any aspect of antiquity, the

classical tradition, and the teaching of classics in schools and

universities are welcome. 



The meeting will coincide with the Annual Crake Lectures, which will be

given this year by Professor Andrew Wallace-Hadrill, Director of the

British School at Rome.
