Mount Allison University



The Department of Classics at Mount Allison University invites applications

for a tenure-track appointment, subject to budgetary approval.  The

successful candidate will teach courses in Ancient History, Classical

Civilization, and Latin or Greek language.  Interest in developing courses

on specific themes (such as gender or slavery) would be an asset.

Applicants should have a completed PhD, a record of excellence in

undergraduate teaching, and a demonstrated commitment to research. 



The appointment will be made at the rank of Assistant Professor and will

commence on July 1, 1999.  The 1997-8 annual salary range for Assistant

Professor is $36,905 - $50,202.  A letter of application, current
