MOUNT ALLISON UNIVERSITY

DEPARTMENT OF CLASSICS



The Department of Classics at Mount Allison University invites applications

for a sessional appointment, subject to budgetary approval.  Applications

should have completed or be nearing completion of a PhD and have a

demonstrated record of excellence in undergraduate teaching.  The

successful candidate will be required to teach introductory courses in

Archaeology, upper level courses in Roman art, and courses in Latin.  The

appointment will be made at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor and

will commence on or about August 1, 1999 and will end on April 30, 2000. 

The 1998-99 annual salary range for lecturer is $32,980 - $44,859 and for

Assistant Professor is $39,305 - $52,380.  Salaries are subject to

collective bargaining.
