UNIVERSITY OF CALGARY
The Department of Greek, Latin & Ancient History invites applications for
an eight-month Sessional Instructor appointment, September 1999 to April
2000. Teaching will include a variety of undergraduate courses from the
general area of classical languages, literature, history and archaeology.
The normal teaching assignment is six half-courses (three in each of Fall
and Winter terms). Remuneration at the base level in 1998/99 is $4,000 per
half-course plus benefits. Applications should include a Curriculum Vitae
and should indicate teaching interests and experience. Confidential letters
from three referees are required.
Canadian citizens and permanent residents will be given priority. US and
Mexican Citizens may be be eligible for appointment under the terms of the
North American Free Trade Agreement. The University of Calgary respects and
