DOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP IN LATE ANTIQUE LITERATURE
UNIVERSITY OF WATERLOO

Applications are invited for a doctoral research fellowship in Late Antique Greek and/or Latin literature at the University of Waterloo, Canada, for the academic year 2013-14 (commencing September 2013). Candidates for the position must be at an advanced stage of writing the Ph.D. thesis/dissertation (for those completing the Ph.D. in the North American system, ABD status is required). The fellow will be housed within the Department of Classical Studies at the University of Waterloo. The fellowship is funded by an Early Researcher Award of the Government of Ontario. A preference will be given to those candidates working in Greek or Latin poetry of the period, but all approaches to literature will be considered.
Applicants should submit a CV, including the names of three referees, and a description of the doctoral research project (not to exceed two pages) to Dr Andrew Faulkner (afaulkne@uwaterloo.ca) no later than April 30, 2013.
The University of Waterloo encourages applications from all qualified individuals, including women, members of visible minorities, native peoples, and persons with disabilities. All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however Canadians and permanent residents will be given priority.
