About this journal eCMAJ is both the home of CMAJ on the Web and a growing electronic journal in its own right. It contains the complete editorial contents of CMAJ, supplemented by a variety of interactive features and additional content. CMAJ is a peer-reviewed international general medical journal. It is the official publication of the Canadian Medical Association. It is covered by MEDLINE/Index Medicus and more than 30 other indexing/ing services, including EMBASE/Excerpta Medica, Elsevier BIOBASE/Current Awareness in Biological Sciences, Current Contents: Life Sciences and Current Contents: Clinical Medicine. CMAJ's impact factor is 2.4. CMAJ is published biweekly, 2 volumes per year. It is uploaded on eCMAJ every second Monday at 6 p.m. EST.
ISSN 1488-2329 (eCMAJ) The Web site of CMAJ was inaugurated in January 1995. It initially contained abstracts of all CMAJ scientific articles and the full text of selected articles. As of July 1999 the full text of all editorial material from the print version of CMAJ is available on eCMAJ in PDF and HTML formats. All material on eCMAJ is accessible free of charge. All material on eCMAJ is copyrighted by the Canadian Medical Association or its licensors; it should not be posted on other sites. All editorial matter in CMAJ represents the opinions of the authors and not necessarily those of the Canadian Medical Association.
