Abstract
There has been an abrupt change in Canadians' attitudes toward gambling. Almost all forms of gambling used to be illegal, but cash-strapped governments have recognized this new and healthy source of revenue and have become the biggest bookies in the country. Gil Kezwer sought responses from physicians and gambling experts about the implications of Canada's love affair with all types of gambling.
