Dr. Jay Kalra, professor and head of the Department of Pathology, University of Saskatchewan, and director of pathology laboratories, Royal University Hospital, has been named deputy governor of the Board of Governors for the American Biographical Institute Research Association, an international society of professionals devoted to the principles of educational advancement. A graduate of Memorial University, Kalra is also president of the Canadian Association of Medical Biochemists and secretary-treasurer of an association of chairs of Canadian medical school pathology departments.
