Dr. Peter A. Adamson, associate professor of otolaryngology at the University of Toronto and an international authority in facial plastic surgery, is the first Canadian to be elected president of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS). Adamson served as president of the Canadian Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery for 3 years and is now its chair of public information. He recently received the F. Mark Rafaty Memorial Award for outstanding contributions to facial plastic and reconstructive surgery from the AAFPRS.
