Dr. Joseph Du, a Winnipeg-based pediatrician who since 1968 also has practised in remote northern native communities, was inducted into the Order of the Buffalo Hunt, Manitoba's highest honour for outstanding contributions to the community. Du's community service awards include the Order of Canada, Manitoba's Lieutenant Governor Award for Distinguished Community Service, the Winnipeg Chinese Cultural and Community Centre's Citizen of the Year award, and an honourable award of recognition from the Canadian Council for Multicultural Health.
