Garage sales could be hazardous to your health

Bargains found at neighbourhood garage sales could be dangerous, Health Canada warns. Certain products must meet safety standards under the Hazardous Products Act, and vendors can be held responsible if someone is injured by a product sold at a garage sale. Consumer products regulated under the act include baby gates, baby walkers, car and booster seats, children's sleepwear, cribs, cradles, hockey helmets, face protectors, playpens, strollers and toys.
