Ovarian cancer fund established CMAJ 1997;156:1525 Patrick Boyer, author, teacher and former member of Parliament, is chairing a Genesis Research Foundation charity to raise awareness and money for ovarian cancer research in memory of his wife. During the next 3 years the Corinne Boyer Fund for Ovarian Cancer Research hopes to raise $5 million for awareness campaigns and medical research, which will be based at Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto. Ovarian cancer kills 1500 Canadian women each year and is the fourth leading cause of cancer mortality among women.
