1994 September

Twins Lucy and Oliver try to earn money by helping people out. They mind a plant, a cat, a puppy and even an elderly woman. They enjoy the work so much that they decide to give each of their charges a special treat. They bake cookies and share them with the plant, fish, cat, puppy and woman. To their surprise, the magic cookies cause each animal to produce offspring. Even the elderly woman has a surprise for them.

This cheerful picture-book will please young readers. The pictures are lively, although undistinguished, and the text is appealing.

An optional purchase.

Pre-school to Grade 3 / Ages 3 to 8
