But then something odd happened - Elliot's arms and legs began to get heavy. Soon, even his head felt funny.
"I think we should get out now," he said.
But they couldn't get out.
They couldn't even pull the plug.
Elliot and Socks were too full of water to move.

Elliot Moose and his friend, Socks the monkey, are back for adventure, and when you're a stuffed toy, a bath is an adventure. Elliot, Socks and friends are busy working on the set of a play when Socks falls off a ladder. The two toys are splashed with blue paint. Their friends fill the bathroom sink, and in the pair jump with a bar of soap. Elliot and Socks are pleasantly surprised, having never bathed before. As an added bonus, Socks turns purple from the blue paint. But when they try to get out of the sink, Elliot and Socks find themselves waterlogged. How will they get dry in time for the play that night? Elliot finds the answer; he and Socks hang out to dry! The show is a success, and everyone loves Sock's new tint.

Andrea Beck's gentle pencil crayon drawings are lovely to look at. The dolls' expressions are engaging and humorous, showing that Elliot and Socks are having a great time in the bath.

Children will enjoy this fourth fun adventure of Elliot Moose.
